We take pride in the products we offer. Our suppliers are committed to delivering high-quality goods, and our manufacturers uphold strict quality control standards. Many of our manufacturers are small local businesses, so occasional errors may occur due to human factors. Minor imperfections and delays can happen during peak periods, such as month-end, the December festive season, long weekends, or major events like Black Friday.
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please notify us within 7 days of receiving the item via delivery or courier in writing, such as email or WhatsApp. If we do not receive notification within this timeframe, we will assume that you are satisfied with the product and its components. Should you wish to return the product, you need to package the product similar/in the same packaging that you received it and in a sellable condition, and notify us within 7 days as described above. The cost of returning the product, e.g. delivery/courier fee, is for the account of the customer.
Product guarantees are provided by the respective manufacturers. 5Star Furniture facilitates the repair process as an administrative service. We will make every effort to repair or replace the item within a reasonable period (typically 2–3 weeks). If repair or replacement is not feasible, a refund may be considered. This decision depends on the manufacturer’s evaluation and is subject to their guarantee terms. The final decision regarding a refund rests solely with 5Star Furniture, following consultation with the manufacturer.
Cancellation of custom orders is not permitted.
Delivery fees are not refundable. We use external service providers for delivery, and the diesel/petrol is a consumable item. An admin fee of up to 7% may apply to cancelled orders to cover administrative and other costs. The latter also applies to transactions cancelled before collection/delivery.
Items such as cupboards, wardrobes, TV stands, coffee tables and others will be flat-packed (unassembled) when courier companies are the carriers (even though they might be advertised as assembled. Only items delivered in Gauteng will be pre-assembled.)
Goods damaged during transportation affect the seller, buyer, and private carrier that moved the goods. 5 Star Furniture checks the product quality and ensures that the packaging protects against damage during transport. We do not take responsibility for any damages caused by any 3rd party courier/carrier.
In the event of damage (courier clients), 5 Star Furniture will provide an administrative service to claim such losses from the 3rd party/carriers.
